Walnut Creek Aquatic Foundation and City of Walnut Creek Sign MOU For New Aquatic Facility

After a year’s long process, the Walnut Creek Aquatic Foundation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the City of Walnut Creek for a contribution of $3 million toward a new aquatic facility to be constructed at Heather Farm Park. The aquatic facility will be located at the current Community Center site and would allow for aquatic programming to continue at Clarke Memorial Pool while construction is underway.

The Walnut Creek Aquatic Foundation has continued to advocate for a facility that is representative of Walnut Creek’s commitment to health, safety, and multigenerational experiences as well as maintains the current level of aquatic programming and services.

The Walnut Creek Aquatic Foundation has worked with the City of Walnut Creek to construct an MOU in alignment with our mission: to help conceive, fund, and build sustainable aquatic facilities that will allow recreational, learn-to-swim, competitive, fitness, and therapeutic aquatic programs to exist and thrive in Walnut Creek. We look forward to engaging our community of supporters to raise the funds necessary to construct a facility that will continue the tradition of aquatic excellence in our city.
